STOP DANGEROUS NEW OFFSHORE DRILLING
Offshore oil spills can kill marine life, devastate ocean environments and risk the livelihoods of coastal communities.
Together, we protected much of the Atlantic and Arctic from dirty new drilling, but now those protections are at risk. The Trump administration just announced plans to open nearly all U.S. waters to offshore drilling, opening the floodgates to dirty and dangerous offshore drilling.
We must make our voices heard now to protect coastal communities, marine life and our oceans, before it’s too late.
Tell Secretary Zinke: Oppose dangerous new offshore drilling and oil spills.

Dear Secretary Zinke:
I ask you to protect the Atlantic, Arctic and Pacific oceans from dangerous new offshore drilling.
After years of hard work, Oceana supporters like me helped remove the Atlantic and Arctic habitats from the previous five-year offshore drilling plan, protected important areas to combat climate change, and stopped seismic airgun blasting from proceeding in the Atlantic.
I urge you to defend our hard work. Offshore drilling leads to oil spills, and regardless of size oil spills do harm to marine life, marine ecosystems and the economies of coastal communities.
I call on you to uphold these landmark decisions for our economy and our environment. Please protect our coasts from dangerous offshore energy development.
