  1. Attend “Ban the Foam” Rally FEBRUARY 15th 1:00pm Lawyers Mall in Annapolis. Join Trash Free MD and Baltimore against Plastic. I believe there will be kids there trying to get schools to stop using Styrofoam in their cafeterias.

FEBRUARY 22nd 5:30-7:30 Chartwell Country Club Peaceful Demonstration against Peroutka and Schuh being a special guest at his fundraiser.  Look out for ways to help canvas neighborhoods prior to this event.  All hands-on deck, we need to educate our community on who Peroutka is and ask why Schuh is supporting him.

    1. tell him Ban the Foam SB0651/HB0538 Expanded Polystyrene Food Service Products – Prohibition Summary: Prohibits food service businesses and institutions from serving food in Styrofoam packaging – cups, plates, to-go clamshells – or from selling these products in retail. Offers a grace-period of enforcement for businesses to use up existing stock, as well as a one-year waiver if not affordable alternative packaging is available. Ensures agency outreach to businesses to assist in compliance.

Sierra Club Lobby Night in Annapolis, FEBRUARY 26th 4:30-8:00p, 6 Bladen St Annapolis, MD Miller Senate Building. This is one of the biggest grassroots events every year in Annapolis, and it is an opportunity for you to speak directly to your legislators about the bills we care about.  We should think about going as a group!

    1. SB732 “Clean Energy Jobs Act” bill will be heard by the Senate Finance Committee where Sen. Astle is Vice Chair. One hundred constituent phone calls to Sen.
