New Maryland animal welfare laws!

Tuesday, April 24 was a great day for dogs and cats in Maryland. Three important animal welfare bills became law – a bill allowing judges to prohibit future animal ownership of convicted animal abusers, the Beagle Bill requiring research institutions to adopt out any dogs and cats no longer needed for research, and the historic puppy mill legislation that makes Maryland the second state in the nation to ban pet stores from selling dogs and cats!

WISE would love to hear from you.....
