Mark your calendars! Join Activists statewide for a huge RALLY on opening day of session Jan. 9!
Let Governor Hogan know that we are serious about Renewable Energy!
With 84 pledged supporters in the House and 30 in the Senate, the bill is poised to pass with a “supermajority” — right as experts say we need it most. Recent reports from the world’s top scientists AND President Trump’s own administration confirmed it. We have only 12 years to cut our greenhouse gas emissions in half.
The Clean Energy Jobs Act is Maryland’s answer. It would commit the state to 50% renewable power by 2030 and create a just pathway to 100% clean, renewable electricity by 2040. It would also invest millions of dollars in workforce development and make sure to keep electricity bills low.
We can’t delay. The bill must be signed into law in 2019. It’s time to hold our legislators to their promises. To do that we need to make a huge showing on the first day of session
As Governor Hogan just wrote in an op-ed for the Washington Post, “States can lead the way on climate change.” We completely agree. So let’s make sure Hogan’s pen is waiting once the bill hits his desk. Join us for the “Climate Wave Rally” in Annapolis on the first day of session — and invite Hogan to ride the climate wave with us!
