Celebrate Earth day virtually with Good Neighbors Group!

The Severna Park Earth Day Festival was scheduled for April 25 and while we cannot celebrate Earth Day together this year, we have created a Virtual Earth Day Festival!  Visit at https://goodneighborsgroup.org/severna-park-earth-day-festival/

In keeping with our theme for this year’s Festival, we have a 2020 Vision for a Healthier World, a theme that was set a year ago and is more timely than ever.  Thank you for helping to promote ideas that improve our environment – the earth itself and the well-being of its inhabitants.  Through our website, communications with our extensive Good Neighbors Group membership and social media, we have been sharing messaging to educate and inspire in “green” ways.  If the plans you had planned for your Earth Day Festival booth/exhibit can be shared virtually, let us know and we will spread the word.  If your eco-business is still open, say the word so we can connect the community to you via our channels.  If you have a message that would help homeowners “green” their households as many people tackle spring cleaning, tell us.  If you have a lesson to share with students and families as learning has moved to homes, we want to know.

Let’s tag each other via social media and spread words that can encourage, instill hope and positivity in this aspect of our collective lives.  We certainly do not mean to dismiss the seriousness of the Coronavirus pandemic.  But we do want to take the opportunity to continue the messages and ideals of the Earth Day Festival, with the hope that some good can come from the time we are spending working and schooling from home and social distancing.

2020 marks the 50^th anniversary of Earth Day and this year would have been the 18^th Severna Park Earth Day Festival.  Our community looks forward to this event and supports it in a big way.  Let’s keep that going in a safe and socially distant way!
