Women Indivisible Strong Effective
The Political Advocacy and Accountability Huddle supports the election of candidates with values important to WISE, works with them to implement their commitments through policies, legislation and budget, and holds them accountable for doing so. It also tracks campaign financing, promotes issues-based inputs into the budget and legislative processes and works in collaboration with others to reduce the role of money in politics. A sub-group on legislative affairs organizes WISE’s efforts around priority legislation around a range of issues each session.

Additionally, we have a Legislative Affairs sub-huddle which organizes WISE’s efforts around priority pieces of legislation each session. WISE members research the issues, work with other groups including the state wide Maryland Legislative Coalition, testify, call legislators, participate in legislative breakfasts, organize lobby days, and much more, with view to getting legislation in favor of women and families’ rights passed. If you would like to join or receive more information about our sub-huddle, please email jgorski630@gmail.com.
